Schuyler Skaats Wheeler Story
Schuyler Skaats Wheeler was born in May 1860 and died in April 1923.Wheeler was educated at Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School. At age od 21, Wheeler worked as electrician at Electrical Lighting Company.
He was an American electrical engineer and manufacturer who specialized in power saving electrical tools. He also invented many electrical devices such as electric fan, electric elevator and electric motor.
Wheeler invented the John Scott Medal for this invention in 1904 by the Franklin Institude. Wheeler also wrote technical articles related to eletricity in various journals, such as “The Cheap John in Electrical Engineering”.
